SPAC celebrates 70th anniversary with largest convention in history

The 70th anniversary SPAC school and sports photography conference was held Jan. 22-25, at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev., featured a record 1,300 attendees, a sold-out trade show featuring more than 90 companies serving the volume photography marketplace, and new social events. social events. The sessions topics included how-to sessions, sales, marketing, cyber-security, and more. The conference program featured more than 50 hours of education and two days of dedicated tradeshow time.
There are numerous enhancements to the education program, such as a “Wednesday Workflow Walk Through” section where attendees can see examples of capture, lighting, camera, and backdrop options.
The conference keynote speaker, Thursday, Jan. 23, featured Rory Kramer, American photographer and filmmaker, and Canon ambassador. The SPAC 70th Anniversary celebration was that evening, featuring a reflection on the industry’s history and recognition of numerous contest winners.
The Dead Pixels Society attended the conference; the video features interviews with attendees and exhibitors, including Captura, Evoto, GF Crew Pro, Canon USA Inc., and Timestone Software.
